No its all the players who were not invloved in finals. Wednesdays team will be the leicester/leinster all stars. Will be intresting to see how Vunipola gets on with two strong scrummagers alongside him.

Watch it on Wiziwig if you haven't got Sky.

French Top14 final on tonight at 8pm as well. We'll see if JW can add the championship to the Heineken Cup before jetting off to Oz......

Yeah but the home unions are all touring and France are playing three tests against the ABs too.

RFU just announced that England's two tests in Argentina will be live on BBC2.

so things I will be looking out for today:

1. Can Vunipola scrum better with two strong scrumagers alongside him, Hibbard is a beast at scrum time, was it Youngs making the England scrum look weak?
2. Can Hibbard's pie chucking improve or will having two top class jumpers to lob em at help?
3. Can Hogg tackle?
4. How fit/on form does Lydiate look?
5. Will Dr Jaw look any better now he's passed his exams?

I don't know how much we'll learn today.

The BaaBaas won't be as cohesive as the SuperRugby opposition to come despite some of the great talents on show.

But anyway - bring it on!

(although I'm gonna be out so won't get to see it in full 🙁 )

Good performances from all three scots, J Roberts, Davies and Phillips, and both second rows. Good to see such clear comp for places a centre and second row. Bodes well.

Great to dominate scrummage but ruins the match when one side can't compete IMO

Interesting to see Hogg and Farrell and the last penalty!! No chance mate!!!!!!

Maitland started well but the other two have been better, agreed. Blimey has 1/2p got some competition?

What a shock 😉 AA that you don't like Farrell!!! But he needs a little talking to. Being a prat can cost a match.

Back row is going to be hard too!!

Please can the bbs have one scrum that works!!!

1. Yes he did very well and carried well. Healey looked good when he came on too.
2. Not too bad.
3. No idea he didnt have to played well though.
4. Not a game for him. A few good chop tackles but had little to do.
5. Looked good but he's not getting any faster.

Grey and POC were good as was AW Jones. Faletau was excellent. Phillips was given a free reign, harder games to come for him. Farrels poor form continues, its a worry with only him and Sexton on tour.

Favourite carry from Vunipola just before half time where he's tackled by Brits and Castro. When he stays on his feet, Castro is arsed into the turf and Brits bounces off him, my lad, who is a strong carrying prop himself swore so loudly it earned him a telling off from his mum in another room. He's a beast. Jones did Castro time and again though. Fullweight beast of a loosehead. 😀

He can cut some absolutely incisive angles though. Running lines to die for... apart from the one before he lost it in the tackle

Jones was against James. Castro has been rubbish for sometime though.

Nothing in that game to suggest Farrell should be anywhere near a test team. Sexton better not get injured! Lots of positives elsewhere though, most of the other backs, solid from the back row and there looks to be great competition at 4 and 5. Gonna be an interesting few weeks...

Watched it on Internet feed and the commentators kept on going on about Farrell's wonderful temperament. Right up to the point where he tried to hit Brits back. I think he was lucky not to get a yellow card too. Wouldn't rule out a citing either. The Aussies will be watching and planning on riling him big time. Seen a few hints of that in his game before and the clapping of Brits as he was sin binned off shows a real lack of class.

Conditions looked pretty moist so not suprised at a few handling errors but pretty solid game from most. Phillips looked good but those runs could end up as turnovers against the Aussies.

Solid scrum and Faletau worked bloody hard all game.

Roll on the first proper game in Perth.

Aussie sledgers will be targetting Farrel for sure now. Funniest thing is him and Brits are team mates at Saffercens. Brits should have had red and Farrel a yellow imo. Neither will be cited.

Some observations....

Farrell was utterly useless
Adam Jones was superb
It was seriously hot and humid in there last night
Not totally sure how I got back to my hotel.......

Adam took Paul James apart and James is a strong scrumaging loosehead. I do think people under eztimate Hibbards.contribution though.

Not seen the game but I have a question for aa.

Has Gav upset you or is Adam the one that you would be allowed to be unfaithfull with

No Adam is just an exceptionally strong scrumaging tight head. Maybe you should watch a game if you want to comment rather than just try some poor trolling.

Oh and Gav is still lush.

Obviously never watched a game in my life.

Not sure it was trolling more an observation.
(And yes he is a very good scrummager and the more I read his pieces for the BBC and hear more interviews with him the more I like him.)

Gives a decent balanced view, Welsh bias obviously (and deservedly)but with out being one eyed.

My only observations were on your love for all things welsh, that has no bearing on my watching of rugby games.

It was a bit of banter. I'm sorry if I offended you.

Who is it making that wonder pass in the first gif AA? Is that Owen 'The Saviour Of Rugby' Farrell?

it is indeed, he was really really bad, for all the ice man talk he looks like pressure gets to him, young though, he'll come good, but so far he's playing the Keet Earls role for the Lions.

He's been rubbish towards the end of the season, I have no idea why he was picked by the Lions*, His performances for Saffacens have been petulantly going to pieces since January time.

*No wait, isn't there some relation on the coaching team?

He was picked because the other options were worse I suppose and St Jonny was unavailable. Biggar is strictly average at international level but might have been worth taking or Flood. I expect an outside back to get a niggle any day now and then St Johnny can be bought in to cover.
