Thinking of either Michelin Energy Saver plus or Continental Eco Contact 5. Summer tyres probably do 20,000 a year, mostly motorway miles, in all weathers. Any comments on these or suggestions of anything else?

Cheers.

They now have to give rating for tyre wear, energy, noise etc, check manufacturers websites

Energy savers have totally crap grip in the wet.
I got some pirelli cinturato P7's for mine, they were low rolling resistance and seem to be doing really well.

I noticed that, too. Wouldn't have them again.

Michelin premacy hp are great, hard wearing, high grip and great in the wet.

Cheers guys, that's what I need to know. I guess all tyres will be good in the dry but rain will really show their true colours.

Not true. Early Michelin ones weren't as good. Now they are fine.

Nokian are my fave. All their tyres are energy savers, that should tell you something about their wet grip. They get good reviews too.
