We're going thus July. Interested in routes/ideas. Can you just hike from campsite to campsite easily without prior booking. Assume huts get booked up pretty quick. Ideas of storing luggage (we'll have a fair bit of non-hiking gear). Thanks.

You can store luggage in the train station. It won't be cheap if it's for a few days though...
Routes wise, it depends what level you're at.
