lost a bit of momentum on the guitar front and looking for some freshness. i'm a basic few chord hobbyist, not a beginner but then again nothing too difficult, just looking for something bluesy youtube type lesson to get my fender wrapped around?

'Hey Joe' isn't too tricky.
How about the main riff from Hendrix/Band of Gypsys "Who Knows".
It's a great funky riff to learn. Perfect for a Fender, and there's so much fun you can have with it....either jammin' along with yourbadself or throwing it in somewhere else as a quote.
This bloke explains it good....

I can play a basic 'hey joe' on acoustic but I'll have a grasp for more.
Last stuff i learnt, on acoustic, was wish you were here, tangled up in blue, like a hurricane and losing my religion. Been playing around with a learn electric blues dvd set, worked through styles of punk Floyd and thin lizzy, but find i get more motivated learning songs rather than riffs.
Maybe open it up... Something fun and singalong thats not too punk, metal or pop.
