309 all out. Tidy start to the day, but perhaps about 50 or so too many.

Going to be an interesting afternoon session, I'd say!

Need to buckle down and not give our wickets away and we will win this. Hope to see England batting all day tomorrow in the sunshine.

I'd say we'll get a draw out of this. The saffers will win the series though and go to no. 1 in the world - and deservedly so.

I hope that Bairstow and Taylor retain their places and that Pietersen never plays test cricket for us again. Great batsman, but a fool and a divisive and extremely selfish one at that.

58 left....!

Oooh, exciting!

No chance we'll get it, though!

Great £20's worth of cricket for those who went today, though!

As in the winter series, the lower order showed the top order how to bat...

Yup they've been consistently better. Shame it wasn't a 5 match series though - SA probably would have won anyway but it's been really high quality.

Now we also know that Pietersen referred to Strauss as a doos (pronounced 'do-erce'). It could have been worse (but only just) as he could have called him a 'poes'.

Nice bloke - just what you want on your team - all matey-matey when people are bending over backwards to accommodate him, but turns nasty the second someone won't let him have all the toys all of the time.

I think we all know who the 'doos' is now.............

I agree - incredible player as he can be, I'd be happy to see the back of him TBH. No-one is bigger than the team.

Calling your skipper a see you next Tuesday is just immature. Suggesting methods of bowling to him is treacherous and should mean that Pietersen never plays for England again. Totally unforgiveable IMO.

Oh and can someone please get Broad to stop waving his front arm around like a stick of rhubard before bowling with no 'snap'?

I don't mean - just get more sideways on like Fred Trueman would have said. I mean actually use it to pull through and back to initiate a proper bit of shoulder-turn.

It's so bloody obvious it makes me want to take up coaching!
