I have just sliced about 1mm of my finger tip off by digging around in my soap bag and using my Merkur razor as an upturned, extremely sharp, woodplane.
A tad sore.
Biggest problem is it won't stop bleeding. It's not a cut but a slice and is about 5mm2.
Any advice?
Don't be tempted to eat salt n vinegar crisps.

Not much useful advice. Id probably just hold some towel against it tight for a while and then dress it once the gusher had subsided.
It will eventually. I took a bit off my finger the other day with a scalpel blade. Just kept holding kitchen roll on it and eventually it stopped. Your blood will do its thing given time.
I did the same within very, very sharp knife. It'll grow back.
Keep it elevated and under some pressure. Be sure to release that every few minutes though. A plaster to keep it clean once it looks like clotting s bit.

Wrap it up & rest it on your shoulder. Luckily it was only a nic, sounds like you had a close shave.
