£1185 plus gift-aid but excluding Footflaps & Soobalias' donations. (I assumed there was a £250 donation on page 1 where the total was given as £1000).

Thanks for makng it a sticky mods, it's going great, but it would be even greater if EVERYONE made a contribution, even if it's the price of a coffee! It's definitely not about me, it's all about them.

Some incredible generosity so far too, amazing!

Great idea Rockape63. I had the privilege of serving with the Brigade for 2 years, including doing a long language course in Nepal. I could not have wished for more loyal and friendly soldiers and a number of my friends owe their lives to their actions whilst on tour. They, their families and communities are in dire need of help so any encouragement to people to donate is amazing.

You can stick another £100 onto your total (£250 if you include donations to the Gurkha Welfare Trust).

Please, please, please keep donating what you can everyone...

this from a friend on facebook

HELLO LOVELY PEOPLE OF INTERNET LAND...
I spent 2 months in Nepal last year. It's impossible to put into words how amazing and inspiring the people there really are. The recent events are tragic to say the least.
In an effort to raise even a little bit of money to help, I'm auctioning a painting on eBay.
100% of the proceeds will go to the DEC Nepal Earthquake Relief.
Bidding starts at £30.
Please share this with any of your art-loving rich friends, or pimped out parents, or anyone who has fat pockets and a big heart. I will pay for shipping! This is open to international heads also.
Big love and thanks!

Nothing personal but gave £25 to Red Cross on Sunday and £50 to Doug Scott's charity today as seen their work out their and Doug has flogged himself for years on his lecture tours for this. It's very sad and hurray for everyone who gives.

Its difficult to add up as some have mentioned gift aid but taking everything into account and not including non DEC/British Red Cross donations, I reckon we are in the region of £3200 minimum! Amazing!!!

I deliberately suggested smallish donations to get as many people involved as possible but some people are so generous its incredible. 😯

Watching the news this morning, I'm sure it is going to be money very well spent.

All - for what it's worth, I've spoken to a decent number of my old troop and to a man they have all said that, as frustrated as they are by the Nepali government's response to the crisis, they are overwhelmed by the generosity of people and it's really helping them cope with the situation. So thanks and keep the donations coming in - your generosity is awesome!!
