but I see a difference between choosing not to read the Daily Mail and trying to expunge every reference to it..

no one is trying to expunge any member they are just choosing to not read it

Ah right. I find it clunky compared to Chrome. I'm not missing my soul yet either.

Change the 4th line @include setting, or add a new one - take out the www.

There's a certain irony here, I could post up a possible solution to the problem, but it wouldn't be read. 😛

Here's one way to update it:
1) Download the script, save it to your desktop
2) Open it with notepad or some other plain text editor
3) Add the following line, after line 4 (which looks similar)
// @include http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/*
4) Save it
5) Drag it into your Firefox window
6) Do any other necessary stuff

I've uploaded Toms fix for people that find this useful (thanks Tom).

http://userscripts.org/scripts/source/92336.user.js

Not sure how updates work, try uninstalling it and click the link again.

For STW, you need a script that lets people killfile according to a the poster's preferred wheel size, riding clothing, presence or not of gears/suspension...

wrecker, for Firefox you need to install Greasemonkey to get the script to work. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/

Greasemonkey installed, killfile saved.
Could you tell me how to work it please?
Do I need a URL thing?

Just click the link in your browser and it should install. When you open a thread, you should get three extra links at the top: "Posts Replaced", "Filtered Authors", "Remove filter for this page"

Click on the links to see what they do...

Just bumping this to keep it open - I understand many of the original reasons for this have now gone, but you never know...

It's much more fun to actually ignore someone though (espcially if they're a Grade-A attention whore) - you then get to monitor the behavioural adaptations that they go through whilst trying to cope... 😉
