[#581053]

I've got a wedding to go to and have a brown and cream outfit. I want to add some colour as an accent eg coloured shoes, bag, corsage or hair ornament. What would work best as a colour 'pop'?

I look forward to your edifying advice. Especially from SFB 🙂

Dark bottle green? Turquoise? Dark red?

What colour are your eyes?

Lol at kimbers 🙂 TJ, pink hair wouldn't go with my skin tone, and RB, they're hazel/cowpat coloured.

Scrap dark red. You'll look like a dessert. And as delicious as I'm sure you are, you want to look cool, elegant, sophisticated; not remind people of a black-forest gateau...

Orange . . . I add a splash of orange with everything . . . but I never did have any fashion sense 😕

Now orange might work, actually, in a cool retro seventies way.

Somehow, reds aren't working for me. Just too 'puddingy'.

Maybe a warm, bricky/rusty red might, though...

Definitely not pinky reds though. No no, Jojo....

Retro cool 70s would be right along my street, but the dress lends itself to 50s ish Audrey Hepburn type looks.

Nice frock, but I already have the frock. Not keen on the shoes. I like the colours in them, but the material they are made of looks too plasticky and I don't like the elastic.

However, turquoise is looking like a big favourite.

No, I weren't suggesting those particular shoes. Just to give an idea of the colours.

You want advice on colours, you come to me. I'm good with colours.

Oh, er...

All the colours noted are too dark for a nice summery wedding - I'd suggest and soft light yellow

Hmm, problem with soft yellow, is that it woon't be distinct enough, with brown and cream.

something like Turquoise would have ha advantage, that it could be accessorized with elegant yet inexpensive actual Turquoise jewellery:

Would this be the right place to admit I wore a cravat and a pink shirt to a wedding recently?

I'm with foxy on the colour (but not the style). And "less is more" if you forgive the cliche with adding colours to neutral tones...like FC says, just some small accessories. You'll already be outdoing the bride anyway (hee hee). A nice pair of opaques with the shoes would be very on-trend (as long as it's not baking hot...though if it is, you could always go with hold-ups and I'd insist on seeing the pics...grrrr).

I'm going for a pearl necklace (stopit!!!) and earrings.

And I've decided on turquoise for shoes, a lickle bag and probably a 'fascinator' type hair thingy something similar to the one below.

I'll take my Menthol Mlehboro world gilet for when I'm letting my hair down later, SA. 🙂

Tankslapper, I sometimes wish I could be a drag queen. You just can't get away with that look as a female. I have a thing for obscene false eyelashes and stripper shoes.

A duck egg coloured wrap thingy would go nicely with cream and brown.
Isn't turquoise supposed to be 'so last year darlink'.

Turquoise/duck egg, same thing innit?

You can wear fascinators with short hair, Mamadirt. They often come on an alice band type thing that would work for your crop.

Here you go....

Well, you could certainly learn a thing or two about style and colour co-ordination; state of those shoes and socks you had on that time!
