Had a lock in at the local cinema last night, we watched Final Destination 3D, pretty good! Graphic though.

A film called Avatar being released in the winter looks brilliant though.

Loved The Hurt Locker, think I enjoyed it even more as I had no expectations of it and had no idea what it was about until I watched it.

Also watched the 2 Mesrine films with Vincent Cassel. Both brilliant.

Oh my gods the Hurt Locker was good. Now waiting on District 9.
I am in the Avatar haters' club at the minute, nothing about it looks to be as game changing or as revolutionary as promised, it looks a bit video gamey.

There's four films coming up that I think are going to be worth seeing: Gamer, 9, Whiteout and Jennifer's Body. There's been a drought of good films just lately, but those look really interesting, and they're coming in under the radar, so to speak. What I've read about Avatar seems to be very positive. I take no notice of comments by people who've seen a couple of minutes on a news report. The ground-breaking stuff is down to the scale of the 3d, which doesn't translate to a flat screen, and the reality of the CGI'd avatars of the human actors. I'm really looking forward to it, 3d glasses clutched in sweaty paw!
