As above, really. I have a night in Stuttgart in the offing and know nothing of the place!
Nothing too poncy, but nothing too crummy either.
TIA.
It i a big city! I lived there for 5 years but in the outskirts and worked in the centre. Where is your hotel for a start. If all else fails the Irish Pub is a good watering hole. For eating, anything you want from Kebab to Sushi with everything in between.
I have some rules when travelling....
1 - No 'Irish' pubs outside Ireland.
2 - No room service.
3 - No club sandwiches. They're the death of imagination!
🙂
Will be at Le Meridien. Central, I believe.
Hmmm. I spent a couple of weeks in Stuttgart, but can't remember any specific restaurants......plenty of nice ones.
If you like watching the world go by - there's a nice café near the fountains at the neuer schloss that's worth sitting outside at with a beer.....café kunstlerbund (according to Google Maps....)
There's bound to be a Paulaner bar there somewhere. Usually good beer and food, advice given to me on a trip to Dresden by a travel agent that organised beer themed holidays when we fetched up in the one there.
Edit: There's one on Calwer Straße.
As with most German Cities, there is always the Opera.

If you have time get to the Porsche museum - fantastic experience for a fan.

Exception permitted in Asia! Din Tai Fung has pictures on the menu, but is outstanding.
Thanks for the suggestions all.
Visit Porsche, you say? Well.... 8)
To be honest, if I had the time, I'd be going to the Mercedes-Benz Museum instead. Just to look at this,
The mythical Rote Sau.
I've been to both, the BEnz one is poor in comparison IMO 🙂
We needed a long time at the Mercedes museum.
Can't help with food, we arrived late staying in a dodgy-ish suburb, wandered the streets and ended up having an amazing kebab from somewhere that looked a bit rough and ready.
In most German cities I'd look for the beer hall underneath the town hall.
