Is it just us or is it worse than useless? If it goes out of phone range the observers beacon just freezes and doesn't move again. My partner just stopped at the café, an hour later the beacon still hasn't moved despite her leaving already. Both using android phones and the rest of Strava works fine. I've tried contacting Strava but they are not any help. Any ideas? On closer inspection her distance is going up but beacon not moving.
If it is a web browser window, can you refresh it?
Mine is fine on ios.
If I'm on my way home and Mrs Dubs is wanting to put the dinner on, she very rarely has to phone me.
But it does happen occasionally - usually something garmin-y has broken though...

Doesn't help, close browser open a new one still not moving.
Restart phone and still not moving
I found it works OK unless user is out of mobile range.
I think she went out of range and then it didn't restart, her distance was increasing but no movement.
As an alternative, Whatsapp 'share live location' works quite well - up to 8 hrs duration in one go.

Mmmmmm beacon.
pretty robust for us on iOs linked up with Garmin devices.
I've just been for a ride with Mrs anagallus sent beacon, again it stopped at the first mobile signal loss and didn't start again. WhatsApp started again...will use that from now on I think
