Heh, my neighbour did the time honoured nonheroic approach of doing some laps, stopping for about 12 hours, then sticking one in at the end. Totally a 24 hour race!
It's been a tough drive home. Backs still ****ed
Might need a beer to sort it.
Now for next time I might actually want to ride a bike in the lead up 🙂
Time to buy a copy of "Treat your own back" by Robin McKenzie (now you are old and knackered like the rest of us) 🙂
Squats and single speeding will fixerup.
Was A very last minute entry to puffer. Mrs t-r has been training on a plan n everything. since June when we planned for her to race.
Then in December we found out we were expecting. Had our scan last week and she was medically excused from racing. So I stepped in having been exculsivly running for the previous 2 months
Nice one family TR - many congratulations. I guess you might be a bit busy in summer 🙂
That last 9am lap was icy death on a stick.
But top weekend
Good to meet you in the weekend there Duncan glad you had a good time !
I managed 8 laps, wanted to do 10 but my body gave up. Wish I’d got some spikes though, came off 4 times on the ice! Walked the slippery sections after that, oh and like a dick I tried to beat the sun going down and failed miserably without lights. That was interesting.
Oh thanks to Felix for the Schrader tool.
I was not happy Saturday am
If I gave anyone the impression that there would be no ice, I'm sorry. (From my post before the race)
If it's any consolation, I left my ice spikes at home and got caught out by the ice too. 🙂
Sounds like it was back to proper Puffer conditions after a couple of easy years... 😉
Seriously though, well done all, it's a brute of a race! 😀
:applause: t_rat & mrs t_rat 😉
