So took the plunge and installed Starlink dish (i live in a place that has no telephone wires let alone fibre)

Been running for a week and its impressive- stable snd delivers between 50mgps and 250mgps (12 hour average 80 mgps with 9 seconds outage) latency is typically 30 to 40 milliseconds.

Not cheap but good, anyone else got one?

Anyway.... It sounds cool and certainly an option for those very remote users - especially when the "new" terminals come out at a much lower cost.

Don't worry about the entire astronomical community complaining about it ruining observations/photography etc

He's only planning to launch 42,000 satellites into a low orbit, I can't see how there could be any problems at all with that.

£85 quid a month not cheap, but VAT snd tax knock it back to acceptable
