The hinge mechanism has gone on my office glasses, providers (boots) say unrepairable as does local craft jeweler. Is there a provider out there that will reframe them. Have tried epoxy with limited success
Im asking as the lenses are variofocal type for screen viewing and close reading and were not cheap.

My local optician replaced the hinge on my prescription sunnies in between lockdowns. Is the hinge complicated, or has a chunk been lost from the frame or leg?

have you tried plugging the serial numbers into google? usually on the arms somewhere, you may find someone selling them and you may get the same from an internet retailer for less than high st.
Alpha omega, lots of opticians use them, and i organised an account this week, very good reputation, deal direct.
Think of a tear-jerking back story and take them along to the Repair Shop.
