Anyone local to Matlock...can you recomend somewhere, (pub etc), that's child friendly...

The Crown is a Wetherspoons in the middle of Matlock - can take kids in if eating, but full of scrubbers at certain times.
Grouse at Darley Dale (2 miles along A6 towards Bakewell)
Grouse & Claret at Rowsley (another couple of miles up the road) is nice and has a decent menu (Marstons)

Didn't know you could still wash dishes if you'd forgotten your wallet 😀
My local is The Sycamore, 5min walk from town centre, but a lovely pub, child and dog friendly, cracking food and beer and a kids menu!
Been to Matlock and Matlock Bath several times and I have to say the food is the worst I've had in the UK, utter garbage. I would take a Picnic and sit by the river.
