[Closed] Solar PV, has anybody invested this year?

What if you have a swimming pool and heat it with an electric air source heat pump and its running from 8am to 8pm......would it make sense to install Solar PV panels?

LMAO, cheers, it makes a bit of sense but still none the wiser despite a pretty good explanation, will read again tomorrow when 100% sober.

Thanks for the explanation on the effects of dropping the voltage, igm. The extra cooling on the kettle did occur to me, but I've learned that some people give up reading my posts if I make them too complicated! I'd also misremembered what the change from nominal 240V to 230V actually did, ie, I was thinking voltage had actually dropped rather than just been relabelled with a bigger upside tolerance.
