[Closed] Solar panels are draining the sun of energy...

...say scientists.

This week, a scientific research facility in Wyoming made a startling discovery that is certain to change the way millions of Americans look at the environmentalism movement, after they found conclusive evidence that solar panels not only convert the sunโ€™s energy into usable energy, but that they are also draining the sun of its own energy, possibly with catastrophic consequences far worse than global warming.

http://nationalreport.net/solar-panels-drain-suns-energy-experts-say/

The study was commissioned in August 2011 by the Halliburton corporation ... โ€œSolar panels destroying the sun could potentially be the worst man-made climate disaster in the history of the world, and Halliburton will not be taking part in that,โ€ the company stated in a press release issued Friday morning. โ€œItโ€™s obvious, based on the findings of this neutral scientific research group, that humans needs to become more dependent on fossil fuels like oil and coal, not less. Because these so-called `green technologiesโ€™ are far more dangerous to the Earth than any hydrofracking operation or deep-water drilling station. What good is clean air when our very sun is no longer functional?โ€

๐Ÿ˜ฏ ๐Ÿ˜€

The comment at the end from Dr Franz Guttenberg is especially good...

Same with wind turbines.

They must be extracting energy from the wind so if we stick up enough of them, there'll be no more breeze.

I'm all for that, but could they turn them off if its going to give me a tail wind ๐Ÿ˜‰

Aye. Sign of a good spoof is it's almost impossible to tell ๐Ÿ˜‰

I thought the wind turbines were going to slow the rotation of the earth and kill us first

And how much does it cost to keep all those fans running all day in wind farms? Their electricity bills must be enormous.

It is called Poe's law apparently and i would have fallen for it

Poe's law, in broader form, is:

Without a blatant display of humor, it is impossible to create a parody of extremism or fundamentalism that someone won't mistake for the real thing.[2]

The core of Poe's law is that a parody of something extreme by nature becomes impossible to differentiate from sincere extremism. A corollary of Poe's law is the reverse phenomenon: sincere fundamentalist beliefs can be mistaken for a parody of those beliefs.[2]

I thought there was a secret plan to get everyone in China to jump up and down at the same time to throw the planet off its axis?

A dangerous story to post in the USA. A significant proportion of the population will believe it.

As Ben says in the OP, a good post from Dr Franz Guttenberg, deliberately confusing photons and protons to make his point.

It's a little known fact that eventually the earths rotation will slow and it will become synchronous with the moon, due to the friction caused by the moons gravity dragging the tides around the planet. When this happens, our whole global ecosystem will change totally and irreversibly, because a solar day would be 182 current "days" long........

(don't hold your breath, we've still got several billion years till this happens though ๐Ÿ˜‰

Reminds me of a letter to a local newspaper in Cumbria at the peak of the Foot and Mouth outbreak. The writer was explaining that the disease was being spread by the wind turbines moving the air around too much.

I'm sure that'll be on Facebook with someone believing it absolutely; probably an American*... ๐Ÿ˜‰
*It'll fit right in with with the Chemtrail/HAARP obsessives.

The wind turbines are part of a secret plan to maintain the earths rotation in the face of the friction identified by Maxtorque, they are propellers

They massively underestimate the impact of this. Solar panels don't get turned off at night, when the stars shine, so we're not just draining our own sun - we are endangering the entire visible universe!

In a similiar way, some hydro power schemes drain energy from the tides. Everyone knows tides are powered by the moon- so if you drain the tides, the moon will fall out of the sky.

Solar panels are important in the fight against global warming, they take the energy that would normally heat the earth - so less warming right?

I mentioned looking onto this as a small undergraduate project. What % of the planet would we need to cover to extract enough energy to reverse global warming. Of course all energy ends up as heat eventually so the resulting warming from the sun will be the same with the exception of anything stored but the saving in burning fossil fuels is obviously a bonus in slowing warming and the earth loses heat from radiation so can we ever reach a negative?

Was the research sponsored by BP or some other large Oil company by any chance?

Massive solar arrays and a big ass microwave emitter shooting the generated electricity out into space.

(probably easier to do it in a reflective way rather than a generate-and-discard way, raise surface albedo by various means)

Just another reason to get into orbiting solettas.

I thought I read somewhere, that the Wind Turbines, actually cause the surrounding area around them to heat up.
Something to do with the eddies in the wind or something.

Also, hasn't it been said that we should paint the roofs of all buildings a certain colour to reduce the warming effect, so that being said, isn't there a colour in which we could warm it all up?

There's actually a very deep question about why the sky is dark at night - Olbers' paradox.

IIRC they were working with BP when that well broke in the US

Halliburton are a very seriously large energy company ,with a lot of political clout in the USA .
How sad.
