Oooooooh. Well, not sure any of Liverpools options were particularly nice...

Bayern it is then 🙂

I think the way Bayern have been playing up until lately, Liverpool have done better than Spurs.
Some great games in there though.

Smart money would be on City being the only ones to get through.

Bravissimo: There was a Liverpool fan on Five Live as the news broke. He was gutted too 😀

I bete there's a few champagne corks popping in the dressing room.

This season's a write off now anyway, but they need to do a lot more at the club than just apoint a new manager. And whatever happens its going to be a good while before we're able to compete at the same level as City or Liverpool.

Looks like Carrick taking over as caretaker. Could be interesting

Bollox!

Typical United managerial merry-go-round... 🙂

It's interesting that, looking at the stats, there is only one manager with a better win %, and JM's score was second, and a lot closer than you might think.

But it was getting worse every week, there was no sign of turning it around and he was entrenched in a position that wasn't going to change without either selling a heap of players cheap of paying over the odds for more who he would then declare were crap.

All Carrick has to do in the team talk is say "Right, go out and attack like crazy" he'll be loved by the fans whether they win 7-0 or lose 8-5 🙂

When a United team is rightfully booed off at Old Trafford after a truly woeful nil nil draw with Crystal Palace, at home, then the games up.

We've got some great players, who just look miserable being forced to play Jose's awful brand of anti-football

All a manager has to do is say 'get out there, enjoy youreslves and do what you do' and it'll be better than the dire exhibitions of late. As far as trophies are concerned, United fans expectation is presently absolutely zero - we're simply nowhere near good enough - but we wouldn't mind watching some actual attacking football for a change.

Jose never fitted at United. And decent players have just gone backwards under him, as has the squad as a whole. Its just absolutely awful to watch!

Bloody Liverpool, why didn't you let him at least get a draw.

Just an observation really about how the win stats can be misleading. Surprised that SAF was under 60%, even allowing for the first couple of seasons which were pretty disastrous.

JM must be relieved TBH. Living in a hotel room for two years isn't going to put a smile on your face. Heard him described as 'The Alan Partridge of the Premier League'.

They've got a nice set of fixtures to go out and do that all out attacking too. Away to Cardiff, then home to Huddersfield and Bournemouth.

Might have a punt on Pochettino taking over next season

So my top 4 for the job are
King of the Jungle Harry
Fat Sham - might keep them up
Stevie G - should finish off Jose's good work
Kevin "I'd Love it" Keegan

All the sort of big high profile names that a club like united deserve

I'm pretty certain we gave him the job when his "powers" were on the decline, he should've had the job as soon as SAF retired, which I think was the plan until Bobby Charlton put his oar in, at that point he was on top of things and winning, instead we wasted a few years on Moyes and then LVG, terminating in a now broken Jose who I don't think ever recovered from hiss breakdown at Chelsea.

No - he's always had this 3 year cycle, he's only once made it to a 4th season, that was with Chelsea, he didn't finish that season.
His abrasive style is great for short term results, but if you want continued success he's not the man.

Pretty sure ManU, Madrid, Chelsea or Milan don't really care about his bank balance.

It's the Special Boat Service they'll need as United's ship sinks without trace

Forgetting the special/useless one for a bit...

I’m just watching the Netflix documentary about Sunderland. It’s bloody brilliant! Proper behind the scenes, access all areas stuff, about a club that isn’t going to be worrying about a top 4 premiership finish, and the passionate fans and how the club fits in to the community.

Well worth a watch.

Bit confused if they make that decision, sure he's somewhat of a legend, but he's done bugger all as manager. Sure, he's doing OK at Molde, but was a bit of a disaster at Cardiff, not exactly an inspiring choice when you consider some of the big names who are out of work and would potentially have taken the job for 6 months just for some fun.

I do think though given a month most half decent managers could easily make the squad play better football and entertain the fans more so than they have been 🙂
