Haha!  Surely not at home?  Would he dare?

I did actually agree with Moanys latest comments about all the failed managers criticising his tactics.....the odious Gary Nev for example, sacked after 4 months and telling everyone how it should be done! W@nker!

anyway, I created a thread recently complaining about the BBC putting women’s football and cricket on with as much gusto as the men’s games. I suggested the standard was so bad it was embarrassing.  I got some stick for it!

Well I just saw the highlights of the women’s England matches v Germany and USA. Jeez, there were three own goals and the defending was beyond belief!   I actually really enjoy a lot of women’s sport, from skiing to tennis and athletics etc but football has a massive way to go before they should put it on telly.

not sure how deserved it was and at least we got one half with the bus only half parked

Two great finishes from Rashford though Baillys was the best [ as was his spin out of defence].

Pretty much C guaranteed now but still miles from city and entertainment.

..and at the other end of the table ..great result and performance from the toon ..not out of it yet by a long chalk but other results also went our way and great to see the Pardew / Carver management team working so well ( nothing against WBA in particular ) ...maybe they might stop believing their own hype as to how good they are and finally realise as results bear out that they are utter shite .

Into the Championship and delighted to see Mitro on fire for Fulham ..seven in five now for the big chonk and another £6m added to his value by fat Mike if reports are to be believed ..straight swap for Cairney at the end of the season if you want him !

Of course I couldn't let a dip into the Championship go by without mentioning Sunderland ..keep up the good work 😁

Nice one Magpies!

so do we think Jamie Carragher is going to keep his Sky career going after the spitting episode?   I know footballers aren’t very clever, but that was unbelievable!

goaded really ? they shouted "2-1" at him, I'm sure he heard a lot worse during his career.

Sacking offence ..no excuses .

Totally vile behaviour..and if he knew he was being filmed ..what the hell was he thinking ?

The trouble at West Ham has been brewing for a while now: the fans are utterly fed up with the owners and a browse of some fan forums suggests that they'd be willing to accept a relegation if that's the price for getting rid of the dildo brothers.

And I'm sure the video was very careful to show exactly what the person recording it was after.

He didn't have to engage..you surely can't excuse what he did as acceptable under any circumstances ?

Indeed, he could have just wound up his window and turned his music up!

Liked Carragher as a player and thought he was a decent guy........oh dear!

Was it the driver who filmed him?  Might be an interesting case should someone complain about using a phone whilst driving?

How to lose a £1M salary in a few seconds!

Grown man shouldn't react like that, idiot, surely he must've heard worse than '2-1' ?. Hopefully plod has a word with the 'victim' driving the other car for driving whilst shouting at another car and use of a mobile phone to film it.

Cock end.

Hi reaction was not acceptable but if people go out with the intention of filming a reaction they really shouldn't be surprised when they get one - as the person claiming to be wronged is in charge of what is recorded and released it hardly makes them reliable to document all their actions. Aside from him there are some right idiots out there who think because somebody is famous it makes them fair game.

Yeah, I think that's a point that's been lost in the frothing moral outrage at Carragher. He's a plum, no doubt about it, but he wasn't the one breaking the law and endangering his daughter just so he could troll for a reaction to sell to the papers.

Fair enough, but I was referring to the fact that the other guy was filming on a phone instead of looking at the road, which put his daughter in danger.

Has Gary Neville had anything to say on the matter?

Have just watched Carraghers interview on Sky News, he was very apologetic and so he should be, it was bang out of order and a disgusting reaction to some harmless banter.

It also got me trying to recall the interview they must have done with Sky Sports News presenter Kirsty Gallagher after she was caught at double the drink drive limit whilst on her way to collect her kids the morning after a night on the town. I'll keep looking!!

On a separate note to the Carragher incident will the Police be taking action against someone driving whilst using their phone?

What Carragher  did was rather unpleasant, but I really hope the police don't have to waste their time investigating this, because of hysterical faux moral outrage, they have far far far more important things to be getting on with.

There is nothing false in terms of outrage when a public figure spits in a 14 year old girls face ...

I hope the police spend as much time as necessary in terms of ensuring justice is done ..it is after all a form of assault .

Carriger: strikes me he must have been drinking given his over reaction. Did he not think he might be being filmed ? Hardly “news” that Liverpool/Man U players/fans are winding each other up is it ? He must have been on the dishing out / receiving many many times. Very odd. Anyway he should be sacked.

West Ham. In a bizarre coincidence Lille fans invaded the pitch this weekend to berate their own team. Whilst in Greece where the owner came on with a gun !!!

Southampton sack their manager. Is Marco Silva still the flavor of the day, or yesterdays man now?

Pardew could be free by the weekend 😉

I get the feeling this could be some getting set adrift this evening too

his defensive mindest not providing dividends. Still the big lad scored so you know every cloud

One of those we should have beat them* but we had no chance of winning so we were going to lose at some point but it should not have been to this team

* on paper not saying they did not deserve it to be clear

Seville Liverpool rematch in the quarters would be good - given the group aggregate score was 5-5.

1 goal in 10 now for greedy Sanchez.

Sanchez’s form at least gives us Gooners something to smile about!  😀

will be interesting to see if he can turn it around!  As for Moanys after match comments about Man U being used to being knocked out....bizarre!

As a city fan, I had a theory about Sanchez, I think utd and Mourinho tried to cause mischief for city and drive up the price and wages city would have to pay, Sanchez (and agent) thought they could take advantage of the mischief to do the same, and when city bowed out utd ended up having to pay a fortune to a player they didn't really want (a good player but he looks like he signed for his second choice), and Sanchez ending up playing for a club he didn't really expect want (although I think 350k a week will temper his sadness).

That's the bit that confuses me about footballers though.

A quick Google states Sanchez has a net worth/wealth of £35million.

Why does it matter if you're earning £250k a week or £350k a week when you've got £35m ?

Pick the club you want to play for and play... .Why worry about salary being a factor ?

Sure, i can understand why he'd leave Arsenal if unhappy or to win trophies etc, but to then say "I want to go to City" and then sign for Utd because City bailed on it, well that's just incomprehensible to me. I don't know why the fans, the manager or the board etc would think that's in any way a good idea.

BTW it’s £600k a week not £350k.

Mind blowing stuff, especially as he looks about as potent as Alex Iwobi!!

Point is still the same... £350k a week or £600k a week when you have £35m.... Why do you care ? Sure, if he'd left and gone to City to win a Premiership, i'd get that... In the same way he left Barca to come to Arsenal to get game-time as he was 3rd Choice at Barca, absolutely understand...

Sanchez along with Pogba are totally over rated footballers, there is no doubt they are good, but not worth the stupid money that Man U are paying them. Sanchez couldn't get a game for Barca for a reason.

Sanchez is world class and is the last player to improve under Wenger

de Bruyne couldn't get a game at Chelsea, players can change. there were some pretty decent players in his way at Barca!

Agree with weeksy. His decision must have been money motivated - he could have gone to City, played ten games and picked up a league winners medal. Don't underestimate the role of his agent in him going to United.

He has the ability to make a success there of course but will probably be constrained by his manager.
