My employer pays me an annual salary. One year equals one rotation of the Earth around the Sun. Today is an extra day in this year to compensate for the missed 1/4 of a day in the last four years.

I feel like someone owes me.

Yeah, so did I yesterday. so I went to the supermarket and demanded my free food for the leap day -ย  obviously it must be free because I pay for it over the previous 'missed 1/4 of a day in the last four years'. I was escorted off the premises and told not to go back. I might ring my gas company today and ask where my free gas is....ย  ๐Ÿ˜€

I've worked for my employer for over 25 years so I think the annual salary thing kind of evens out the extra day
