[#10020238]

Next weekend. It's my youngest lads, there was no get out clause, he insisted that I'm going so he must love me (either that or he wants a right laugh at my expense). Anyway, I doubt if I'll be on the hoy all Friday afternoon & all day Saturday with a bunch of 30 yr old pisshead, rugby playing farmers so....

Where's some nice places for a 62 this year old fart like me to hang out & where's the best value places to eat?

His FIL will be there too but he's an ex farmer so is probably up for getting shitfaced, whereas I'm not.

Anyone fancy going instead of me?  Heeeeeelllp!

Why aren't you up for getting shit faced? It's a stag do, your sons stag do at that. Let your hair down a bit... 😁👍

Yeah, it's your son's stag, you don't have to get shitfaced but don't be a ****ing downer on it.

Join in but take it handy, dubs is a decent place for a beer, i would suggest avoiding temple bar but it's a stag so...

Ranelagh is a good spot near the town for nice beers if you want to steer the drinking...

I’ve not been, but I’ve heard very good things from trusted friends about this place;

‘Proper’ Dublin pub, no tellies just good food , drinking and chat in a nice environment.

Nice one V8, that looks like my kind of place! Other thing is I've Fubared my knee & am hobbling about in abject pain, so don't want to be pub 'crawling'.
