How's the Pool House Pete and how does the Silver Fantasy (or whatever) handle in the snow?

The Pool Hoose dodged a couple of falling trees. The Silver Fantasy is back in the shed.

... and block the Col du Mosmorran so I get another day off school. Not even the elephants could be risked today.

Shame, I hear they love snow.

mcmoonter - not only have you got the best log pile in the world but also the nicest house 🙂

We had a dusting on Saturday and another dusting this morning, so only about half a centimetre.

Think the schools are shut again tomorrow Stuartie. Although there was no chance of me getting to Glenrothes today I'm unfortunately within walking distance of the local office and had to go in 😥

Yesterday was our first of the snow - still very rideable! Met this unusual retro bike whilst out, with its owner/designer:

[img] [/img]

It snowed more overnight and it's still snowing now.

Rochey,

we never get much snow in MK its like we're in some kind of vaccum, cultural as well as geographical. Last year we got a little but it soon turned to hard ice and then stayed on all the paths for weeks, you dont see them gritting the redways now do you. Yesterdays commute was a laugh though as the snow we had was nice and crisp and you could slide the back end out perfectly on the bike.

Still heaping it down here. We were just passed by someone cross-country skiing during our lunchtime walk!

My little un who stands nearly 5' tall today - we are normally lucky to get 2" of snow living in the valley - unfortunately I'm away in the North East with it's paltry foot of snow.

Great pic Stuartie.

Last night in lieu of a night ride adventure I went for a spin in the Shogun in search of deep drifts. I tried the LRT up to the Craigkelly TV mast above Burntisland. I managed to get stuck up to nearly the headlights and spent a hour digging it out. I wont be trying that again.

mcmoonter - nice work. As an aside is there still riding up above Otterston Loch on the woods towards the B rd that goes up to the mosmorran roundabout ? We used to ride from home (d bay) up through there and then round b'island and there was a cheeky singletrack that brought you out by the farm at the top of the Donkey Brae. Heading back in the summer so will have to go and look again as it was very nice (a long time ago)
