Hi,
I've got an HTC desire on Vodafone and am unable to view any live streaming video (not interested in YouTube). I'm convinced I could do it when I originally got the thing a couple of months ago, but can't seem to do it now.
I was hoping to catch a bit of the world cup at work. Not interested in it at any other time.
Is it just vodafone, or are other networks having problems too? Could it be related to the furore over data allowances?
TIA.
My Nokia N97 Mini on Voda won't play videos even if I download them. Just like it wont send emails, won't maintain a Bluetooth connection, won't operate without crashing 3 times a day, won't keep a ringtone without going silent, won't get a signal where other phones will..........
I could go on.
Re: the video - I've read forums about the problem with my particular phone, but not managed to resolve it yet.
Re: emails - it's the same with my laptop dongle - apparently you have to sign up to Vodafone 360 (which is bloody awful), as Voda have a problem with the outgoing mail client.
Re: all my other problems - Voda's answer - update your settings. THERE ARE NO FRIKKIN SETTING UPDATES AVAILABLE!!!!!
Needless to say it's going back soon, but I'm guessing I'll have a battle on my hands and will have to endure a cheap replacement phone whilst mine spends 3 weeks in the back of a shop and 30 seconds in the hands of an engineer - who will then claim there is nowt wrong with it.
Unfortunately I'm stuck with Vodafone as nothing else gets a signal in my house.
