So alright, it's AI nonsense.  But I thought it was entertaining AI nonsense and well put together.

What've you got?

I love that star Trek video.

The music is awesome. On a mobile I almost can't tell it's AI. It's a wee bit less convincing on a computer.

The same "creator" has a couple of Evanescence inspired videos which also have awesome music.

I love that star Trek video.

Considering Jeri Ryan’s campaigning to stop the AI use of actors’ likenesses without their consent, I doubt she’d agree with you.

Ah so now we know how Mark Ronson creates his slop!

I can just about see the appeal of a young Debbie Harry, but the rest... Ugh.

I'm starting to see how the quality of creative output is related to the time and skill that must go into creating it. If making a film is hard, only the higher levels of motivation and creativity will push through that. AI seems to be allowing a lot of polished turds out..

I'm a huge fan of how LLMs can be used but I've not seen anything in video that's worth much. And considering the >100x processing power needs vs text chat reasoning, video seems to represent poor resources value. Grumble grumble, never liked tiktok either ..

I mean I'm glad I'm not in creative. Industries right now.

Took my band a week to record+ a month to mix an album. They wrote the songs before I joined so thats 50-100 hours between 3. Despite 2 of the band having music production degrees we got someone else I to do some more of the mixing.

So 5 musicians for 40 hour week.

3 engineers for 40 hour week.

More over dubs after that 20 hours x2 people.

Mixing maybe 30 hours.

Vs my mate paid £60 for access to a music ai. Put his poems in and had something which to my ear sounds pretty close in quality. Took him an hour+ time to write the poetry.

Ai poetry to music

That A Million Amelias starts off ok. It must be genuinely worrying for artists of how much of a threat AI is.

It's far from perfect of course.  But as I've been saying for a while now, AI today is the worst it will ever be.

Basically if you can work from home, your job is ****ed.  Music, art, programming, IT helpdesk... it's a fine time indeed to be a plasterer.

Only if people have jobs in the future to earn money that they can afford to pay for your plastering services.

Which is what really worries me, when it's understandable from a recorded real life event I don't see it ending well.

(Anyway, I won't take this post off topic.)

It won’t be long before it’s going to be impossible to tell what’s actually real.

I'm genuinely astonished that porn isn't leading the vanguard.

Or maybe it is and I'm just not privy to such things.

Oh, it is! You too can have your very own, AI generated slut! I’m certainly not going to create a link, it’s up to you, the reader, to go digging around on the interwebz, but I suggest using a good VPN that allows you to hide your country of origin.

And no, it’s not something I’ve done myself, but I have seen lots of adverts.

Apparently Pete Hegseth and the Department of War used AI to plan their Iran invasion, and they were happily basing their predictions on AI slop.

The polished, high-confidence outputs of AI simulation models proved more compelling to decision-makers than the hedged, probabilistic language of traditional intelligence analysis

I think it’s used the other bike to come up with the grips and shifters 🙂

Not sure about the kickstand thou.

It’s frightening stuff thou, zero skillz required to do seriously hard graphic manipulation/creation in minutes.

I dabble in a bit of creature design,  from concept to complete and it can take some time.

Ai can never replace the original concept and sketches. But by god it can render fast and to good good level.

Studios, film companies, games developer just want fast turnarounds.

If you dont use it as a tool, you will be left behind.

Example. Weeks of work done in minutes.
