[Closed] Skin graft healing time?

Just back from a week in hospital getting a rather, ahem, personal, skin graft. I had a dressing on the donor site (my thigh) for 5 days, no problem, but yesterday the dressing was taken off and it's now being left to heal in the air while I'm at home. Last night I honestly thought I was going to have to call an ambulance for pain relief, since the codeine I was sent home with didn't seem to be making inroads - pain was so intense and constant! The site's a reasonable size (12 x 12 cm).

But it's better today, thankfully, although I have to walk rather gingerly around! Now wondering how long it's going to take before it's healed up enough to stop hurting without painkillers.
