Off to Courmayeur shortly so it won't be busy in resort ie no worry about availability.
So, what's the verdict?

I'm not sure about Italy but you will usually make a good saving booking ahead.
If anyone is going to France www.ski-republic.com and www.skiset.co.uk could both save you money.
I used to work out there, we were taking 42 euro off the punters on the bus and paying the shop owner 7!
