See poll thing on front page. Do we now have to leave these shores for a holiday to actually count?

"staycation" is just one of those annoying, **** words that seems to be popular at the moment.

The cast-iron laws of physics clearly state that the word 'staycation' only has a finite amount of uses before triggering a catastrophic series of events that are guaranteed to lead to the wettest summer since records began

You mask my words. Now please stop saying it

A staycation is a holiday where you stay at your house but go on day trips out.

Surely with a name like chiefgrooveguru you'd be down with the lingo? I'm off to watch a Bro-mance.

Yeah, fo' shizzle I is. But CaptJon is quite correct, the portmanteau 'staycation' refers to staying at home, not merely in the same country! I refuse to have almost all my childhood holidays rebranded with such a silly word. Innit.

Innit, Chief. ๐Ÿ™‚

There are so many great places in the UK to go, I've no interest in going overseas for a holiday.

95% of the media output of this country is stupid drivel. This is one part of that. Simply refrain from using it and hopefully it'll vanish and take all but the useful 5% of the media with it.
