[#3703128]

Greetings,

Just joined the site so thought I'd better introduce myself........

Twelve years ago I was totally consumed with XC/AM riding and spent all my free time in the Peak District but all that was set to change. I got married, then I stop cycling, then a got fat and old......!

So after a gap of five years I'm now back on my beloved but very out-of-date XC racer and loving every minute of it. So much so that I've just bought a Cove frame to build into my new dream bike.

I live in Norfolk, so not the most challenging of terrain although some good trails, but once I'm fit again I'm straight back to Derbyshire to enjoy falling off again before I'm too old.

So that's me, look forward to some good debates on the forum.

Roland 🙂

Hi and well done for picking it back up. Most would have taken the easy option.

Just stick at it BTW and don't push too hard, too early or you may well get sick of it again

Well I don't know about "good", but we make up for that in terms of quantity...

So it's your first day is it Roland?

Don't worry, you won't find any childish behaviour from any of us ...

There's nothing the users of STW like more than a mass debate.

A mutual mass debating session, at that.

Welcome to the nuthouse. Did you bring cake?

You are Fred and I claim my £5.

(Might as well get that out of the way).

Excellent, I'm clearly amongst some deranged individuals so I'm happy.

@jota180 - Do you have one? One of the best looking bikes of the 70s and I miss mine sometimes (although it was a big old lump.....).

Anyway, I must away as the medication trolley is coming round..
