No gritters.
😐

Half an hour turned into a dodgy 55 minute extended slither.

Heavy in Rochdale now.

Cold here on the Sarf Coast and was drizzling, it's now clearing and it looks slippery as wet teflon out there.

SR earlier in the week: I'm planning a BAM Friday night.
Me: what's the snow forecast.... (we had yellow warning from the metoffice for up here).

Just as well I was busy this am 😀

Must admit I'm beginning to question the logic of living 3 miles off a 'main' road with singletrack access in the Scottish highlands! Not too much accumulating at present but it's white outside (and passed a car that had skidded into a ditch yesterday am).

I best be getting that new winter B+ rubber on to them wheels.

What can I say? I'm weak and the offer of a post-ride birthday pint or two was too much.

Now looking like Sunday night I think. Browsing VeloViewer for possible routes/locations.

I'd give you a free pass SR based purely on the snow and cold personally.

Except of course, it's the 25th... tick tock! I'm not rushing to offer to go out tonight instead neither... walking back to the car (down from the castle and over the bridge was decidedly skitey last night).

Suppose you could always build an igloo 😆

3 days of snow forecast here in Staffordshire. What a big pile of white shit. We have Christmas Ball tomorrow night which will end being very expensive if it gets cancelled.

White over in Belper. Looks like Buxton area has plenty. Eyes to Sunday now which seems a certainty for heavy snow. Crane on site Wednesday, which I really really need to happen....

Looking outside for the promised 6 inches and feeling the kind of disappoint a lot of women have felt.

This is one of the major disappointments with living on the SE coast. Humph. On the IOW ferry and they could do with turning the bloody heating up too.

Thin covering in Skipton, which means plenty in the Dales normally. And it isn't going anywhere at this temperature.

dunno about snow in aberdeen but judging by the number of crashes reported on local news there must be at least a 1/8th of an inch.

Stopped about 5 minutes after posting last night.
🙂

However, frozen solid.
Two cars lost it on the half mile hill down to Towneley Park this morning and ended up on the golf course.

Cycling abandoned for the day, off to buy a Christmas tree, back in work tomorrow so it had better warm up a bit before then.....

Several cms here in the Beacons. Heavy showers, followed by some melting mean it stays pretty constant, about 3 cm on the cars at the house.

Apparently hoofing it down in Oswestry, and the A5 towards Wrexham is currently a nightmare. Just north of Wrexham though all ok.

It's a marshmallow world in Aviemore, just heading to Nairn over the dava moor, woo hoo!
Mrs says she wants us to have a quiet night in tonight, I can't decide between the bike or xc skis. There may be trouble ahead.

Loads in N Wales away from the coast. Mountain passes getting close to impassable in a normal car until they plough.

Anyone thinking of the Yorkshire Dales this is what it looked like this morning. View from Pen-y-Ghent to Ingleborough. Only a covering but quite icy in places.

Bit of snow on the Black Isle.

Passed a car in the ditch (again) on my way into work. Definitely a day to take it easy!

30-40mm to scrape off the car before returning home tonight...

Bloody freezing down here, cars are covered in frost.. 🙄

All that Tax we pay keeping the rest of the country alive, you’d think we’d get the council to de-frost our cars for wouldn’t you..

Joe Cocker used to come round and clear our drive, might have mentioned it before.

Not seen him in ages.
Hope he's ok.
