I'm thinking of doing a few classic bike track days this year & I'm wondering whether to get the FZ out there or buy a YZF750 or TRX850 for a bit of fun.

These are my two previous ones, I'm a bit poorer after a divorce so don't have any motorbikes just now, just an MX5.
The itch for a wee VFR400 is strong though

Been riding since 1981. Done sportsbikes, done supernakeds, loved them all, but these days I've gone full Luddite and both my bikes are air cooled. The highest tech is the ABS on the Beemer.

Do it, they are such great fun bikes, small and chuckable with endless possibilities for upgrades if you like fettling, also classic insurance and cheap tax.

I also have a fireblade, but the nc30 is a bike I can honestly never see me selling.

I sold my last bike as I hardly used it (<600 miles from new iirc). It was a lot of fun but ultimately fairly pointless... Here it is anyway:

No longer have a motorbike anymore. Suddenly had the jitters after 17years of riding and moved over to a car completely.

Honda hotnet btw.

I bought the TDR in 1991 when it was 6 months old with 700 miles on it. The first owner (aged 68!) PX'd it for something really bland as he thought it was too manic for his daily commute.
I did loads of mods to it including the following:
285cc big bore and wide spread porting by Bob Farnham
Front exhaust pipes gutted and DEP silencers
TZR250 wheels etc.
I sold it to a good friend and am still involved with the bike. The supermoto wire wheels with fat rims are recent additions and it rolls really well on those as well as finally getting the look that I was after.

Here he is, getting all "adventure" in Aragon, Spain. Surprised it was completely okay to ride 160bhp bike offload, to be honest. Not an issue at all, once I remembered to disable ABS.
