After a total hip replacement i'm after some liner shorts mainly to wear skiing that have some hip protection in them to take the edge of any falls. These maybe more for peace of mind than anything else, will probably use them on the bike but not bothered about a pad as will just use over bibs under baggies. Any suggestions that people have used as there seems to be a range from £10 to £80

thanks

You need some on-one mAd padz.

I have some old 661 bombers which work well- annoyingly a lot of padded shorts don't protect the hip well so you've got to be careful

Forcefield have a huge range and are CE protected, a lot of this stuff is just rated as "padding" rather than actual protective gear. It's not cheap though.

Also, even though I'm still a little worried about my hip (broken neck of femur, bolted back on), the more imminent thread of cock rot stops me from wearing them most of the time. (trenchball, if you prefer)

I bought some Fox liners as I had exactly the same fear.

3 years later I don't use them as that worry sort of went away. By all means pm me if you have any questions

Sport Pursuit have/had G-Form pro-x and pro-g liners with hip protection for around £35-40.

I used the fox ones last summer after having an abscess removed from my hip. They came up small in medium for me mind and had to peel myself out of them.

Worked well though and thankfully didn't go over and land on them.

the best are forcefield or xion

poc vpd 2.0 are are very good too, more for cycling as they have more protection on the hips than the arse
