[#737834]

Was really handy, used to get emails to my Blackberry or work email.

What do you do now? I have played with RSS but don't have an RSS reader on my Blackberry (can't install one as it's restricted by corporate policy), aren't always in front of my PC to read RSS updates and don't have enough time to keep constantly checking for updates on the website.

STW for me not the same since ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Use an online RSS Reader like http://www.google.com/reader/ on your Blackberry?

I would imagine that with 5mins thought, you could do something via www.feedburner.com

crikey/twohats - STW has changed for me but it's 'helpful' members haven't ๐Ÿ™‚

Cheers brant, I'll have a look at feedburner - is that what alerts you everytime someone mentions a product of yours?

GrahamS - still need to actively check the reader, old email functionality was passive

it's on my todo list, as are many things. But I have to make sure it works before anything is added, as imagine the complaints if it appeared for a bit and was then revoked.

just found this though: http://rssforward.com/

try it.

I, too, find the lack of notifications annoying. It means I spend more time on here looking at posts rather than just finding the ones I want to participate in and only replying when they're replied to. Suppose it means more people stick around longer for adverts....

I don't mind the RSS feeds per se, however rather annoyingly my "favourites" feed seems to be the only one that kills "Manifesto" on my iPhone and doesn't seem to update properly in the mobile safari rss reader. Ho and indeed hum.
