[#4873357]

While going through the loft found these, issue 4 of MBUK Jan 1991 22 years ago, I am the one top right, The Race was the Cheshire Classic we organized in October every year.
The second image was used as the cover shot of a video for the national race series (My only claim to fame)
The reason for wearing the truly horrific creations was a friend who made them.
Come on if you rode in the 80's and 90's now is the time to come out of the closet and reveal all

I had a purple Marin pertex watrproof jacket.

It matched by bars, stem & bottle cages.
I got rid after I heard someone describing me as a Ribena Berry 😀

[ohtheshame]
by 'eck - that brings back memories - early 90's my 'thermals' were Second Skins from a factory sale at Troll (climbing gear) - worn under baggies - 1cm wide, vertical stripes in purple & yellow.
Perhaps fortunately, I know of no photographic evidence...

actually - the ribena berry and yellow sky in rusty's pic. are a touch too close to the truth....

The reason for wearing the truly horrific creations was a friend who made them

Was that before or after he made outfits for PSB videos?

Judge not what you wore 20 years ago, because everyone was wearing the same!

Can't find any pictures of it (probably a good thing!) but does anyone remember the old Schmoo's Cycles race kit? From late 90's. Fluoro pink shorts, fluoro yellow top. God it was hideous.

Damn. Schmoos. Beaten to it. There was a bike shop in Lockwood, Huddersfield that had a race team at the same time that wore pretty rotten lumo gear but their name escapes me. They rode square section Paces.
