We're thinking of spending a week up in the Fort William area in July- I'll be up for the endurance dh and I'm sure we can find other things to amuse ourselves 😉 Probably a group of between 4 and 6... Nothing too madly expensive but not too rough either. Anyone got any suggestions? Caravans are OK but cottages/chalets much better.

We stayed here for a week last year.

We were so impressed, we've seriously thought about buying one!

This place is good, not pricey, secure bike storage and only a short walk to town: Calluna, owned by some top climber, so they're well setup for mucky outdoorsy types.

We stayed here a year or two ago, excellent setting 10mins from the DH stuff near Fort William and near Laggan Wolf Trax too. Brillioant rural setting near a lovely river and help yourself to fresh eggs daily from the chickens.

We stayed here as they do lettings for a few days if you don't want the usual 7.

Smaller but you could take 2. Room to park, close enough to town and we carefully popped our bikes in the house. They didn't even complain about the entire mug of tea I kicked over the lounge carpet!

Also in Roybridge is iirc Bunroy Holiday Park, again lovely rural location and has a campsite or wooden lodges. Superb views and near a good hotel as Ton's post above ^^^

bankstreetlodge is for going and getting hammer - do not expect a good nights sleep there.

"roybridge hotel has a ok bunkhouse. it has a good sized kitchen/dining area too."

thatll be the grey corries
Is awesome long as its a good crowd and you dont get the rowdy motorbike party that weekend - on the whole its been great when i go.

http://www.highland-hostel.co.uk/ is another awesome place in a lovely area and is cheap , a mile or so walk from the aforementioned roybridge hotel

in town avoid the smiddys at all cost - crap hole that i wouldnt wish my worst enemy visit - came close to punching the owners husband there at 4am (when i was sound asleep and woken by THEM telling me to get out)

farr cottage was nice if all you want is a clean bed. again noisy and rough.

stayed in a cottage out at bunree but that might be a bit far out the other side for nevis range - but its half way between glencoe and fort william if that floats your boat i could dig it out. was uber cheap and clean if a little dated in decor

We stayed here here for 10 Under the Ben last year. Right by the Corran ferry, about 15 mins into Ft William. Very nice chalets.

Glencoe is a 20 min drive from Fort William, so it depends on how near you need it to be, but http://www.glencoe-cottages.com/ is very nice, overlooks a burn, between mountains, trout lake etc.
