My alpkit gilet is now for the scrapheap, but the down in it is still good. And there's quite a lot of it. Unfortunately not really enough to make a down duvet/half sleeping bag with, but I reckon it would only take one more.

I guess I could make a great travel pillow out of it couldnt I?

Unless someone has a need of spare down?

You can get the down recycled into a new gilet. There are specialist outdoor tailors who do that sort of thing.

With a knife and some fighting, Ive just managed to extract the down into a bin liner.
The living room looks like I raped Donald Duck.

Lord knows how they manufacturer down kit without making a massive mess.
A friend has some spare pertex after making himself a bivvy-duvet so I think Im going to have a go at a down pillow.
