late 80's, lived in Battlefield, local pub was the Mission, Thursday night they had 'up and coming bands' some newbies called 'Texas' were on one night - pretty darned good. 😆 been a big fan since !!!

would it be wrong to say that they moved to a new level when Donnie jacked and Bruce came on board - have followed them avidly for 20+ yrs and the canadian is just leagues apart

Managed to get Del Amitri to play the students union for a couple of hundred quid and a small rider. They signed about a week before appearing on stools on Top of the Pops.

Mike Scott is an Edinburgh boy. Band has had a cast of thousands over the years though.
