Having said that, I was a scanner-operator in a previous life, and I recon I must have scanned ten-fifteen thousand pics over five years or so. *sigh*, I miss that job...

Minds me of buying a high-res film scanner, and scanning in hundreds of slides and negs. Using an old G3 450MHz iMac, each 5,400 dpi scan took ****ing ages. I don't envy you.
