As an England fan, I had nothing positive to say about yesterdays performance. I don't remember a single chance we had. The score flattered us. Im sulking today.
The moment of the game for me was inside the last 10 minutes I think. Jonny Gray and a couple of other Scottish forwards were able to lift up the English ball carrier turn him round and place him down facing the wrong way so that Scotland won a penalty. No English supporting players in sight. Very poor from England and a sign of a pack who knew they were bossing it.
England can improve a lot so can Scotland our attack was less incisive than I'd expect. Trìcky part is keeping the discipline and control while allowing the flair players to play off the cuff when appropriate.
I was surprised at the time that they didn’t check the grounding, I guess the ref had a good view. It was close to being held up though.
It was a clear try from the replays, that was the best thing Scotland did all game, especially as I thought they had wasted their 10mins with all their scrums to nowhere. They would have scored more if the backs got more ball.

Emotions aside, what a great game to show England that playing Rugny with more than 8 players is awesome. Sticking by my prediction of England 3rd in the table, unless a massive change appears.

If you didn't know that Ireland only had 14 men you would have thought they lost in the last 10-15 due to some silly errors as they just looked so much better most of the time. The fact that they did that with 14 blokes for 70% of the game was a real achievement. Strong side. Ireland vs France next week could well be the game of the tournament, in fact this might be what they needed.
