Hi we are going to centre parcs at whinfell forest. Does anyone know of any decent routes local to Whinfell Forest Penrith CA10 2DW. Any info would be great. Thanks.
Whinlatter is 30mins away and it's edge of the lake district so there is loads of non trail centre stuff
ditto with whinlatter but you'll have to park your car on the perimeter of the main car park and then get security to let you out and back in, which they don't like doing. It's quite hilly around Whinfell and if you hog the perimeter fence, take in all four corners and go at it with gusto you can actually get a good work out.
Or hire a bike trailer and shove a few kids in the back for resistance training 😆
You are only twenty minutes from Dufton so you could try an excursion up High Cup Nick if the weather is suitable.
