About to fit a thule roof rack to my vw polo should i fit the bike carriers to the bars first then put the whole lot on top of the car and fix it in place. Or fit roof , secure them then try and fit the cycle carriers to it on top of the car?

I think the correct order is fit the bars then fit the racks.
Did you not get any instructions with the rack?

+1 for roof bars first. Would be a lot more difficult with the carriers already fitted.

nope no instructions, second hand parts! thule website just keeps telling me the bits i need. cheers though.
