Anyone else see this on the news earlier? I saw it on my Flipboard feed from a Kyiv news feed, and watching the drone footage of the poor dear struggling to walk along the road all on her own, away from her destroyed house made me rather emotional.ย
Wonderful use of the technology to be able to rescue her from a combat zone, but the Ukrainians are using such technology for rescuing injured troops now as well as for helping get supplies into the combat zones.
[nerd]It's an NRC "Pidkova" UGV 6x6 drive, 500kg at up to 60kmh and max (unloaded and slower) range of 100km[/nerd]
No wonder she had to keep her feet up!
Ukraine has taken POWs using only a combat UGV, mind you when you're facing a DevDroid with 0.50 cal machine gun, or it's smaller cousin with twin 5.45mm Kalashnikov assault rifles, surrender would be high on the list
You'll need to translate this blog, but it's easy enough within your browser http://dou.ua/forums/topic/58560/
