Got back last week from just under a week in Vienna and Bratislava and the hotel in Bratislava had roasted monkey nuts on the tables which were very good. The other half has now taken to trying to find some good ones at home, does anyone know of some good ones?
Roasted monkey nuts
In session later tonight for Six Music.
Can't help you with your nuts but I'm going to those places soon. How did you travel between them?
I'm thinking ferry one way and either flixbus or train the other.
We took the train from Vienna to Bratislava then a Bolt taxi back to the airport as there was a deal on and we wanted to go see Devin castle on our last morning. You cant get direct to the main train station in Bratislava due to works that have been going on for a few years so we got dropped off at Petrazalka? and there's a bus stop just across the road that we took into town. We got the tickets at the terminals in Viennas main station and they covered that days public transport in Bratislava as well although we only found that out when we asked in the information/ticket office.
Yes but rightly or wrongly I've always known monkey nuts to still be in their shells rather than a packet of KP
AFAIK monkey nuts are unshelled peanuts.
I should imagine you can get them in any supermarket. Waitrose certainly sell them. Maybe Booths do too.
Checks Ingredients - Roasted Peanuts in Shell.
I thought it was a trick question!
I've been enjoying the ones from Tesco recently, in the fresh fruit and veg area, big bags, bloody messy to shell.
