I love a road trip to the continent, but this one with Harry Metcalfe taking a Testarossa to the Moroccan Sahara looks like an epic:
Not really that epic. I've done it in merc Vito a few times heading off kite surfing and windsurfing down the coast around Essouria. Did the atlas mountains and Sahara.
The only epic aspect is having a really cool looking car.
The amount of crappy French-registered 30 year old cars with huge loads on their roofs you see driving down through Spain on their way to Morocco every year... To do the same thing in a Ferrari isn't particularly impressive.
I'd love to do a road trip like that
I did see him go to Italy in his Lamborghini
I still don't know how a magazine editor has so many expensive toys
The Testa Rossa though. It's an awful looking thing.
Quentin Wilson did a feature on it the other week. It's so ugly. It's neither delicate nor purposeful.
Is it "Rich boy/journo does average trip" time again?
jools182- I think he made his money elsewhere, then set up a car magazine for a laugh.
