We’re having a little break near Ross on Wye...any pointers for quiet bits of the river where we can have a swim please?
Not shy of a bit of a walk for a good spot.

Thanks!

We always used to swim at Symonds yat when we were In sixth form, at yat rock. Might be A bit busier now, esp this yr. used to get funny looks from canoe clubs also when running the rapids in an old rubber beach dinghy!

Walked past Symonds yat a few weeks back and, yes people were swimming, but also very busy.

Did Kerne to Monmouth on Friday and the river was busy, but not overcrowded. Obviously, around the Yat it's going to be busier, so go upstream or a decent way downstream of that. Obviously.

Plenty of good spots to be had..! River is a gloriously refreshing temperature at the moment.

Malvern Rider let us know about a lovely spot. Sworn to secrecy but it was lovely. A fine afternoon playing and swimming. Sooo much warmer than the sea!
