Fountainbridge?

There's some shite chain ones by the cinema/megabowl, easier to walk 200m north to Dalry Road where there is First Coast and others IIRC.

EH11 = Gorgie/Dalry (used to live there)

Fountainhall is more like EH9 or 16?

If you walk up Viewforth to Bruntsfield there are quite a few nice cafes - cafe grande is a nice bistro. Also Montpelliers if you avoid the Teds. No real great restaurants to recommend though, tbh.

There's an Indian called the Guru Balti does pretty decent curry grub in big quantities at okay prices.

Or go through the underpass to First Coast on Dalry Rd. Great quality Scottish food, again at a very reasonable price.

First Coast is pretty good and reasonably priced.

Le moutin noir on viewforth is a really good wee French place. Carnivore heaven.

Crisps and pints of heavy in the Athletic Arms always a good option.

You're only about a mile away from The Khukuri on West Maitland Street. Doesn't look fancy from the street but is really very good.

Oi oi, get down to the Caley Sample Rooms along the road for some dinner. Great food, even better beer!

Or Piato Verde on Dundee Terrace is a good honest wee italian.
