[Closed] Removing the hair from the bathroom plug!

Yes, it's horrible. I have a kebab skewer with the tip made into a hook for doing this job, although I keep meaning to buy a drain snake.

I leave the 'harvest' in the bath for them to dispose of.

I once removed a blocked 10 foot down pipe and hopper which the bathroom waste went into.
And it was blocked solid from top to bottom with hair causing the hopper to overflow.

Only two woman in the house but both mother and 18 year old daughter had hair down to their waist.

You can get some heavy duty chemicals to get rid of all that.

Works if you pour it down the plughole as well.

An old bike spoke is an awesome tool for this.

Pretty amazing how much hair it collects that would otherwise go down the plughole.
It has suckers that are supposed to stick it to the bath that don't work but it stays in place anyway.

They also do this drain weasel thing to clear the hair out, but not tried it...

Well ill be damned, there's been a surge in lush use from dear daughter over the last few months!

The ladies of our house both have long curly hair which is the worst.

My Father inlaw unbeknown to me used my new camelbak hose cleaning brush to clean the hair out of the plug holes, which was kind of him however he didn't mention this for a few weeks until he saw me cleaning the hose and bladder out.

I now just use bottles. 😯
