As per the title really. Looking to remove old 'baked on' stickers from the windows and bodywork of my new(ish) van. Thought (er..was hoping) they'd just peel off ๐Ÿ˜• how wrong was I !!

I always used a hair dryer gently-especially on paint.

Warm it up gently to warm the glue.

Then any residue left after peeling it off-use Mr Sheen. Spray to a foam and leave for a minutes then polish off.

lots of glass cleaner and a brand new single sided razor blade. I learnt this whilst as a student working for autoglass - used it to remove the labels from windows that i fitted.

Will work fine on glass -not sure about what to do on the bodywork though

If it's just vinyl graphics then a hair dryer/hot air gun will do the job nicely. Then wash and a polish or 2 to remove the residue glue.

I took a load of them off my van using an air powered die grinder with a 4ins rubber wheel bit in it,a garage might be able to supply the air.(contact a signwriter for the bit you need)

I would avoid using a stanley blade as you will end up damaging paintwork, glue can be removed using a cellulose agent like preptone or there are some specialist glue removers on the market that can be sourced from automotive paint suppliers, (yellow pages)

Hairdryer,as above.

Remove the remaining residue with 'Autoglym Tar & Glue Remover',available from all good car accessory shops(or Halfrauds).

hairdryer is good,

residue can be removed using a caramel wheel on a drill (ebay/google for one)
