I'm aware that if you buy goods online they can be returned due to distance selling regulations.
Does the same apply for tickets to a concert or show?
I'd be surprised, its not as if there's a chance you'll receive something different to what you ordered.
Why not check the website T&Cs and if yhey say no then google DSR?
No.
I bought some tickets to a gig in Dublin recently. Realised traveling over wod be extremely expensive. Tired to cancel them 1 hour later. No chance. That was with ticketmaster.

I'm pretty sure they'd quite rightly say that's entirely your fault for not checking beforehand. You'll get a refund should the concert be cancelled, but on the couple of occasions I've been unable to get to a concert ive had to just suck it up.
If the gig sells out, then the venue might accept returns, or you could advertise them for sale through Gumtree, or one of the ticket reselling sites.
Who's the artist?
Distance Selling Regs don't exist anymore. It's the Consumer Contracts Regulations you needs to look up.

And Concert Tickets aren't covered, so the answer is no I'm afraid.
How about checking the terms and conditions that you no doubt agreed to when you bought the tickets?
Found answer thru Google
