i know that there are a few Cotswold riders on here who may be able to help on this, Was out on a ride last week and saw a bird, bigish, definitely not a buzzard, reddish in colour.

Only thing i can find to match is a Red Kite, this was out Colesbourne way and just wondering if anyone else has seen it?

Lots about Cotswold way, even more a bit further East around Wallingford

Could easily have been a Kite, the introduced birds from the Chilterns are spreading west across Wiltshire and Gloucestershire, while native birds are spreading East from Wales into England. Beautiful birds, so good to see them flying wild again.

As tails said, the tail is the big giveaway. It's the only raptor with a forked rather than fan shaped tail which they twist noticeably in flight for direction control
